Kia ora koutou e ngā mātua, e ngā whānau, Talofa lava, Malo e lelei, Konichiwa!

Welcome to the last newsletter for this term. We are all looking forward to next Friday 5 July the end of the term, particularly for the large number of learners and staff who have been ill recently!

It is a chance to recharge and boost our immune systems in preparation for another exciting and stimulating term three.

We appreciate families keeping children home when they are ill or recovering from illness as you can appreciate in learning environments bugs and germs spread rapidly. We continue to mitigate wherever possible the spread of bugs - hand washing, general health etiquette and working with our cleaning company.

Staffing

We congratulate Christina Sands on her successful appointment to one of the six Across School Teacher (AST) positions working with the Community of Learning|Kāhui Ako. Christina will be working with other AST from Rolleston College, West Rolleston and Clearview Primary delivering the Achievement Challenges decided through consultation with schools/kura and Early Childhood Centres staff and communities last year. This position is supported with two days out of the classroom to allow for meetings , professional development and to work with other teachers in other schools. We welcome to the staff, Leonie Pengelly an experienced teacher who will be job sharing with Christina commencing term 3. Christina and Leonie will be working from the Pouakai learning space with a satellite class of Mānuka learners.
