Ban the importation and use of kwila wood in New Zealand due to unsustainability

Kwila wood is native to West Papua and takes 75–80 years to fully mature
and finish growing. Due to its vibrant red colour and resistance to
termites it is often used for flooring and decking. I believe that high
demand has endangered kwila as it is unable to be quickly farmed, and
the use of kwila wood is unsustainable. We want the New Zealand
government to ban the importation of kwila wood in New Zealand to
preserve the tree in the same way we aim to protect our own native trees
