West Rolleston Primary School qualified for the Junior division of the National Chess Tournament at Avonhead School on Friday the 18th.

Anthony, Joel, Joshua, Samreen and Xavia represented our school in the Year 1-6 division of the National Chess Tournament held in Christchurch this year. They played 9 games each against the top players in New Zealand and gained a Merit Certificate. It is the first time WRPS has qualified for this tournament and the team displayed all the Kowhai Rules and were a pleasure to watch.
