West Rolleston will be hosting a celebration of Matariki on the evening of Wednesday 20th June from 4.30pm for shared kai and a performance from our Kapa Haka group.

Kia Ora Whānau,

We are very excited to announce that we will be hosting a Matariki celebration on Wednesday 20th June, starting at 4.30pm.

Our school kapa haka group will be performing, there will be learning around Matariki to view and we are so incredibly lucky to have the option of enjoying a hangi as a part of a GROW WRPS fundraiser for Kapa Haka uniforms.

Timeline of the evening:

4.30pm Families start to arrive - Learning on display in studios

5.00pm Our school kapa haka group will perform in the gym

5.30pm Hangi will be served to families who have ordered or time to eat your own kai.

All families are welcome and please if you would like to order a hangi or 2 ($12.00 each) There is an order form attached or email the office with your order. All proceeds from the hangi are going towards our kapa haka group uniforms which we can proudly wear during the Cultural Festival in term 3.

Of course, you are welcome to bring your own kai if you would prefer and we suggest you do to go along with your hangi order.
