Many thanks to everyone who turned out on Tuesday night for the Quiz Night. It was a fantastic evening, with some great prizes, and a good time was had by all. Congratulations to all those who won prizes and to 'Hoorah for Wine' for winning the quiz. Special thanks to the dynamic duo of Nicole Richards and Joe Sefton for organising this great night out for us all.

A whopping $3327 was raised on the night and this will go towards completing the Junior Playspaces. Phase 1 of this project is the installation of a whare these school holidays. Phase 2 will hopefully be the installation of 110m2 of astro turf - keep your fingers crossed for a successful grant application.

Talking of grants, congratulations to Amanda Clarkson for a successful application to Pub Charity Limited for $6,200 worth of kapa haka uniforms. These uniforms will be here in time for cultural festival and we're excited to see the entire kapa haka group outfitted in them this September.

Amanda and I are busy writing grants for several projects at the moment, ranging from jackets for our sport teams to the installation of a cricket pitch, so if you know of anything that is available, please let either of us know. 

Many thanks to those parents and learners who turned out at Brookside Park on Sunday morning to help marshal race 2 of the Canterbury Duathlon series and run a sausage sizzle. It was a beautiful morning and everyone had a great time. Race 3 is July 28th, so watch the GROW Facebook page if you'd like to be involved.

Finally, I hope everyone has had a magnet come home in their eldest child's bag. These magnets were made possible by a generous contribution from Busy Bumbles and are supposed to be a one-stop place for all the information you need to attend school at WRPS. If you don't have one yet, please ask your child's whanau teacher.
