A reminder that West Rolleston Primary School is part of the Terracycle recycling programme that helps to divert landfill waste, by sending oral care waste and yoghurt caps and pouches to TerraCycle.

In the school admin area there are recycling stations that you can put your old toothpaste tubes, toothbrushes, plastic toothbrush packaging, interdental brushes, wisps, pumps, stand up toothpaste bottles and any kind of non-electric toothbrush or toothpaste tube and all affiliated non-recyclable packaging in. There is also a station for the yoghurt pouches.

In order to recycle this waste stream properly, please make sure all excess product has been removed. Additionally, if you choose to rinse your product, please note that it must be completely dry.

Once collected, the oral waste and foil wraps are cleaned and melted into hard plastic that can be remolded to make new recycled products.
