Building Resilience in Children

Sylvia Fidow —

We are excited to offer a Workshop for parents on Building Resilience in Children.

It will explore strategies to help children develop their resilience in order to manage better when faced with challenges. This involves developing a positive view of themselves, the capacity to manage strong feelings and impulses, and assisting them to make realistic plans and take steps to carry them out – problem solving. It will be discussion based, and there will be opportunity for parents to ask questions and talk about strategies.

It will be run by Ursula McCulloch, a clinical psychologist with many years’ experience in working with children, based with the School Based Mental Health Team.

Date: Wednesday 3 April Time: 6:30 – 8pm

PLEASE RSVP office@westrolleston.school.nz

as there are only 30 places per workshop. We can provide additional workshops if there is more need.
