What a way to finish our sporting year! We had 24 incredible athletes qualify to represent West Rolleston School and Waitaha School (Te Pa Harakeke) at the Canterbury Primary Athletics Championships. They all did themselves and our schools proud. Kei te whakahī mātou ki a koutou katoa.

We had some amazing results and a lot of personal bests. Whakamihi to our Year 7 girls relay team (Jess, Ava, Sophie and Zoe) for their outstanding 1st place in their relay, Zoe also placed 1st in the Year 7 girls 100m sprint. Canterbury Champions! Fa'amalo, malo le taumafai Elias who placed 2nd in this Discus event as well as 3rd in Shot Put, Josephine placed 3rd in the 60m sprint, Conner placed 2nd in the 100m sprint, Sam placed 3rd equal in High Jump and Emma placed 2nd in Discus.

We would like to make an extra special shout out to Conner, Emma, John, Indi, Seth and Jamal our Year 8s who represented West Rolleston Sports for the final time. We wish you well in your next adventures. Kia kaha, kia māia, kia manawanui!
