The Canterbury Primary Schools Triathlon is to be held at South Eyre Rd (near West Eyreton) ~ 27km from the start of South Eyre turning off Tram Rd at Clarkville (Opposite 2754 South Eyre Road (27kms from Clarkville School) on Tuesday 14th March.

The students will need to be able to compete these distances competently:

Year 5/ 6- swim 100 metres, bike 7km, run 2km

Year 7/ 8- swim 150 metres, bike 10km, run 2.5km

The swim is in a freshwater lake and often the temperature is cold. Your child has to be able to swim out in the lake very competently to be able to compete.
Please find attached further details about the triathlon. 

Transport: It will be up to families to get your child(ren) and their gear to and from the event.

If we have 3 or more participants, we need to supply a helper/marshal/volunteer. That person would need to either help set up at 8am or tidy up at 1.30pm before the team can be entered.

As it is parent transport, there is no charge for this event.

If you are happy for your child to take part in the above event and they are very capable with all distances, including lake swimming, please email kendraward@westrolleston.school.nz by Friday 3rd March.
