Property Improvements are underway!

Sylvia Fidow —

Building improvements are now underway. You may have read about this in a recent school newsletter.

This work is now underway in Te Ara Tupu and the school office. This means that the learners and teachers in Te Ara Tupu have moved into Te Ara Māia. We are grateful that the Year 7/8 learners and teachers in Te Ara Māia have moved into the gym.

The office staff are now working from the library and our meeting room has now turned into the Health Room. Our staff will do all that we can to make the transition as smooth as possible for all of our tamariki.

It is intended that the building renovations will be completed by the middle of November at which time Te Ara Māia intend to move back to Te Ara Tupu until the end of the year.

Whilst Te Ara Tupu will remain as a collaborative and innovative learning studio, it will have smaller spaces. The reception area will be moved forward with a new private office built, improved storage and a larger health room. The library will be separated from the office with large doors but still visible from the entry of the school.

We are grateful to the Ministry of Education for responding to our need for building improvements.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

Ngā mihi nui
