Whānau Hui

Katie Talbot —

On Wednesday we had our first whānau hui for the year - thanks so much to all the whānau that came along!

We love to meet with our whānau and korero about the best ways to support our Māori learners.

We usually do this once a term, and anyone is welcome!

On Wednesday evening we discussed what we had done in 2018 and our vision around this upcoming year.

We are excited to begin planning our Ako te reo Māori day and our Matariki evening in Term 2.

Once again, thanks to all the whānau who came along.

Ma whero ma pango ka oti ai te mahi

With red and black the work will be complete

This refers to co-operation where if everyone does their part, the work will be complete. The colours refer to to the traditional kowhaiwhai patterns on the inside of the meeting houses.
