Prioritising our Well Being / Hauora

Katie Talbot —

"Wellbeing is attained by little and little and nevertheless is no little things itself" - Zeno

During the lockdown it's pretty normal to feel a whole range of emotions but as the people LIVING this historical moment it's up to us how we choose to capture and frame this time!

The quote above by Zeno is from the year 200 BC but is just as true today - that through small and consistent actions we can ensure our wellbeing remains on top.

Last year we worked on creating a school wide Hauora Model that would visually explain how we as a community break down, understand and action WELLBEING.

During this lockdown take some time for your wellbeing! Check out our Hauora Model (attached) and some ideas for how you can prioritise the different areas of wellbeing at home:

Mind Health - Wairua / Whakaaro

Body Health - Taha Tinana

Connection - Whanaungatanga

Gratitude - Whakawhetai

Purpose - Ako

Sota Tale - Stay safe and see you soon!
