Exploding with science.

During our fun Friday's with Science, Te Pa Harakeke students have been learning about Chemical Reactions in Science lessons on Fridays. Our first experiment was the Mentos and Fizzy Drink Geyser. Many of the students were a little anxious about what might happen, would it be loud? Would it be scary?...but as soon as the mentos hit the fizzy drink and reacted, they were so excited to see the rush of fizzy whizzing way up high into the air. We did it twice and everyone wanted to help set up the experiment. It was wonderful to observe the children’s reactions.
