Road Safety and High Vis Vests

West Rolleston —

Update

At West Rolleston Primary School we feel strongly about the safety of your child. We have safety vests available at the school and we encourage all children to wear their vest to and from school each day whether they are walking, cycling, scootering or even coming in the car.

We are very grateful for all the hard work that has gone on behind the scenes to make these vests available at no cost to parents!  A big thank you to Anna James and Sean Powell from Professionals Rolleston for their kind donation.

However, it is your child’s responsibility to:

  • wear their vest everyday

  • look after their vest

  • keep it clean

  • If your child loses their vest there will be a cost for a replacement one.

Even though this is optional please remember your child’s safety is imperative.

The vests will be  offered to our learners early next week so please look out for these in your child's bag.  Please note however that they are on the small side and and we do not currently have any larger ones.  Larger sizes are on their way but there will be a delay in these arriving so we appreciate your patience with this.  We will let the community know when they arrive but in the mean time please use the smaller vests to provide visibility and safety to our tamariki.

Please do not park in the two disabled car parks located in the visitor car park unless you have a disabled car park badge.  It is very important that we leave these parks available for those who need it - we thank you for your understanding in this.
