On Thursday 12th December there will be a special Year 8 Leavers Event to celebrate their final week. It is an exciting time for our Year 8 learners as they prepare to move off to High School next year, so we would like to acknowledge all of their hard work and wonderful achievements during their time at West Rolleston Primary School.

The day will be as follows:

9:45 am - Depart school and travel by bus to Jellie Park.

10:30 am - Arrive at Jellie Park for a swim and hydroslide, bbq and a range of other outdoor games and activities.

2:00 pm - Depart Jellie Park.

3:00 pm - Return to school.

COST - $20.00 (please pay into school account 12-3153-0021818-00 with child’s name and Y8 Leavers as reference)

Please bring:

• Togs and towel (x2).

• Sunblock.

• Food for morning tea and lunch (Drinks and sausages will be provided).

• A drink bottle full of water.

• Please wear school uniform and bring a black school hat.

• You are welcome to bring a picnic rug to sit on. 

6:00 - 8:00 pm

Learners will then have the opportunity to return home to change for dinner as soon as we return to school. Dinner will be held at Quartz restaurant at 6:00pm. As this is a very special occasion, we ask that the dress is semi formal.

Parents are asked to please pick your child up at 8pm from outside the Quartz. Learners will not be allowed to walk home. If you arrange another parent to pick up your child, please can you let your child’s whānau teacher know.

A huge thank you to Quartz for hosting us again this year. They have come up with a special meal to accommodate our learners at a wonderful cost.
