The newly elected Board met last week for their first meeting. The Board as elected are Simon McDermott, Sam Forward, Rob Hunt, Tegan Dawson-McMurdo, Stephanie Hautler and Megan Murray. Simon was elected to Chair the Board.

Its going to be a busy year for the Board.  Some of the items on the agenda include zoning, property, strategy and curriculum.  The Board decided to create smaller working groups to focus on property, finance, behavior and health and safety.  This enables a more focused approach to ensuring we get across issues that require a bit of a deep dive and more time to think and plan!  As we progress we are sure there will be opportunities for the community to help - and we will reach out as needed.

We are grateful of the endless work our families and community do to support this amazing school.  The work and commitment of GROW, the attendance and support of parents/friends/families at events, the awesome generosity of families is greatly appreciated.  Our staff are a constant reminder of "going the extra mile" and take part in numerous extra-curriculum activities, are always positive and truly reflect the values we stand for.  Everything that we do contributes to the success of our children and makes West Rolleston a very special school - thank you.

The Board will keep you up to date with what's going on - don't hesitate to talk to them or ask them what is happening.  We encourage our families to become involved in the school and really become part of our community in some way.  If there is anything we can do as a school to make our children's learning more successful - let us know.  We rely on everyone to reach out, help out and be a positive part of this school.
