School closed for instruction Wednesday 14th November

As you are probably aware, New Zealand teachers are continuing their negotiations with the government. Despite many efforts to reach an agreement, negotiations continue. Therefore all NZEI members have voted to take a second round of strike action.

The NZEI has advised the West Rolleston Board of Trustees that the Principal and teachers at our school will be taking a full day strike action on Wednesday 14 November 2018.

The Board has carefully considered the availability of teaching staff, and unfortunately decided that we cannot provide the normal teaching services during the strike. Therefore, school will be closed on this day.

It’s important that you make alternative arrangements for the care of your child/children on the day of the strike.
