Supplies needed for Wearable Arts...

Kia ora everyone,

This term we have entered into the wearable arts section of the Cultural Festival and are in great need of some supplies to create some amazing costumes for our models to wear. If you have anything to offer in the way of materials or extra hands we would really appreciate it. We will be working on these during GROW time on Thursday afternoons but will probably require extra sessions at other times to get them ready. If you can offer time and hands then please reply to me or email Miss Thrupp for more information.

Some ideas for supplies we may need are:

Chicken wire, shells, flax, newspapers, material, old plain clothes as a base (dresses, t-shirts, old hats etc), cotton wool, wool, bubble wrap etc

Basically any materials we can be creative with-we love thinking outside the box! These can be dropped into either myself in Te Kete Kākano Kakariki or Miss Thrupp in Te Ara Tupu.

Thanks so much in advance, we are looking forward to our learners creating AMAZING costumes to display at the Cultural Festival.

Many thanks,

The Wearable Arts Team
