GROW update

Kylie Drake —

There's lots happening around school lately -  the fence between the asphalt courts and the field was installed last weekend thanks to some very generous donations by local businesses. Many thanks to Melissa and Tim Cochrane for kindly printing and installing the sponsors signs on the fence - they look great.

The whare is also starting to take shape with some planting and pavers. Andy Benn and Nicole Richards have been working hard to make this are look great and they have lots of other little projects planned for the junior play spaces.

New kapa haka uniforms have arrived just in time for Cultural Festival on September 9th. These were purchased with a grant from Pub Charity Limited. We don't have any photos, but have been told they look great - I cannot wait to see our kids outfitted in them on the night.

We're having additional storage (another container) installed outside the school gym. This will be painted to look like the container that currently houses the sports gear.

Ladies Night is tomorrow night at Quartz Restaurant. With nearly 70 tickets sold this promises to be a great event. I believe there are still some tickets left, so please get in contact with Jacinta Cooney or Kelly Franks if you'd still like to come along. All details are on the GROW Facebook page.

Finally, it's almost cheese roll time! Keep pushing those sales and please block out some time on Saturday 14th September to come down and help us make the 1000's of cheese rolls we will need in order to send our kids to camp. This is a great community focused day.  More details will follow!

As always, if you have any questions, or any great ideas for improving our community, don't hesitate to get in contact with me at growwrps@gmail.com.

Thanks, Kylie
