Message from the Principal

Sylvia Fidow —

Tomorrow our children [and staff] will be dressing up for free in beach/summer clothes as a result of filling one of our school-wide wish jars.

This means that lots of learners have been making great choices at morning tea and lunch-time. As the date also coincides with the school roll reaching 500 the BoT are shouting all of the children a summery ice-block.

Next Tuesday and Wednesday are the days for our really important goal setting conferences after school. Thank you for making the time to bring your child in to meet with the teacher and share their learning pathway goals for 2019. It's not too late to book your interview please go to www.schoolinterviews.co.nz. Your code is wsbr6.

We had a great turn-out at the Year 7/8 parent camp meeting on Monday evening. Big thanks to Mrs Megan Murray for your excellent organisation and preparation for this exciting event which will be held in Wainui.

Finally, thanks to all of the offers for support following the robbery in Andy's garage. We were so grateful to Deborah from Rolleston Costume Hire and Kirk from Mac's Homes for their generous donation of $400 which will go towards our insurance excess payment. The MoE have also agreed to extend our alarm system.

Ngā mihi nui

Sylvia
