This week we have welcomed Harold and the Life Education Trust Mobile Classroom to our school

Katie Talbot —

What an exciting week with the first of our whānau groups taking part in learning some mental health and wellbeing skills through interactive lessons in the "Harold Truck"

The focus of our visit is to support the teaching of the health curriculum, and this term’s focus on Mental Health and Wellbeing.

Each whānau group will have two in depth sessions in the Life Education Mobile Classroom learning about how to manage emotions, form positive relationships, make healthy choices and about how looking out for others positively affects our own health and wellbeing. These skills are so valuable for all of our learners in today’s busy world and we are excited to be able to provide them with an authentic and in depth learning experience.

WRPS Board of Trustees have never requested an annual financial donation [“fees”] from our school families. However, in order to provide the curriculum and a range of opportunities for our learners, we do ask for full voluntary contribution towards all school trips and events otherwise we would have to cancel them. GST is not payable on contributions, and tax credits can be claimed. Unfortunately, with no funding available from the government for these type of activities it is reliant on the goodwill of our parents and community.

The cost of the Life Education visit is $5.50 per child. Please pay into the school account: 12-3153-0021818-00 and use LifeEd and your child's name as the reference.

Kind Regards,

Katie Talbot
