Te Ara Māia Online Learning.

Megan Murray —

The learners from Te Ara Māia have been really busy while learning from home, and WOW, we have been so impressed by the quality of work that has been shared with us.

We can’t believe how well all of our learners are doing at home, staying engaged, motivated and challenging themselves to complete their tasks. Ka rawe everyone! While learning online, TAM have been studying and sharing all about “The Wonders of the World” and all the “Good News” happening around the world at the moment. They are now working on creating their own “GOOD NEWS” newspaper report with some of the information that they have learnt. We can’t wait to see their reporting skills and what they come up with.

We have been so impressed with the creativity that has gone into all of the daily challenges. There has been baking, learning te reo, fitness challenges, construction challenges, art and Anzac Day challenges, to name just a few. All of the designs and creations have been amazing. Some of my personal favourites have been the Travel Agent Challenge, which just made me want to go on holiday, and the Pēpi Pic challenge where they drew inspiration from the teachers “Then and Now” photos and recreated their own.

Thanks to all the family members who have been great support in their roles as At Home Teachers! We know it is not easy but we really do appreciate all of your support. Stay safe in your bubbles and keep sharing your brilliant, creative ideas.
