Welcome back to 2020, the year we celebrate our fifth birthday. I hope everyone had an enjoyable holiday. I had a great break at home with my family and am proud to say that we are now enjoying sitting out on our new deck which I helped to build:)

“GROW West Rolleston Primary School invites you and your whanau to a welcome back picnic and meet the teachers evening on Tuesday February 11th from 4-6pm on the school field. Bring a picnic dinner and come along to meet other families, the GROW team, and your child’s whanau teacher. We will have bouncy castles, Pedalmania, and games on the school field from 4pm. There will be a special guest appearance from Wil-Bee the Busy Bumbles mascot. GROW will provide a free sausage sizzle thanks to Hellers Sausages in Schools. Thursday 24th August from 9am to 9:30am - Staff Room

Our Year 5-8 Swimming Sports will be at the Selwyn Aquatic Centre on Thursday the 20th of February from 10.30am until 2.30pm. Timings for year groups will be determined once entries have been finalised. A notice has been sent home for learners to discuss entries and return their entry slip to their whanau group teacher ASAP.. This includes A grade, B grade and Fun Event options. We are also looking for some parents who are available to assist with timekeeping, recording etc at this event. If you are available please let Fraser Malins or Bec Lambert know. There is a $6 cost (transport and pool) associated with this, to be paid in the school account: 12-3153-0021818-00.

The Concept Who: 6-to-9 year olds When: Tuesdays – 3, 10, 17 March Time: 3.45pm - 4.45pm Where: West Rolleston Primary School Field Structure: Two sports will be on offer each week for children to try. Children will be split into two groups and spend 30mins at each sport before changing to the other sport giving them an opportunity to try two different sports each week!
