I am excited to announce that next Tuesday afternoon we are launching our new whare [house] model. This model has been developed by Mrs Caitlyn Tinnelly and sees our elected ambassadors leading each of the six whare in pairs.

The Board met last week, the first time we have met "physically" for quite some time, so there was a lot to go through!

In week 12 we are excited to announce the launch of our school whare (houses) with a special assembly and fun activities to follow on the afternoon of June 30th.

Today we have been informed our Selwyn Central Zone Cross Country will be held in very early Term 3 with the date TBC. On Thursday 2nd July we will be holding our trials for our West Rolleston School Year 5-8 Zones Cross Country team to attend the Selwyn Central Zone Cross-Country event. This event, along with our school fun cross country had been scheduled for late Term 1, however didn’t take place due to the lockdown.

We had a visit from Pauline from the Hearing Institute to share with us some knowledge about dangerous decibels...

We have had cases of headlice in our school community. Please check and treat your children. If you need head lice treatment, some can be provided by the school via GROW.

We have a lot of lost items currently in lost property. All non uniform items will be donated to goodwill if not claimed by the end of this term. We have large amounts of school uniform sitting here with names and lots and lots of shoes!! Please come in and check if its your childs. We try to return all the uniform that is named twice weekly.

School photographs will be on Tuesday 4th August 2020. Photographs will start at 08:15am for family photos with school aged children only (if you require a family photo please ensure you or your children attend the gym at 8:15am, there is no reason to contact the office and book for these, just turn up at 8:15am), followed by individual photos. All school photos will all be taken in the school gym.
