Music and Visual Arts

We offer many opportunities for your child to learn art or music.

Art Club

Our Art Club is run during lunch breaks every week and our focus is to create large scale masterpieces to beautify our school. Our masterpieces are symbolic of our school values and we make sure to always incorporate unique designs from our tamariki too.  We love using a range of different materials and tools to add detail and interest into our mahi toi (art).

Song Writing/Recording

We have opportunities for students to write lyrics for songs with opportunities to start a band. This is for children who can already play an instrument, but need support putting it all together. It’s a fun activity which develops many crucial life skills.

Music Lessons

We have a school Waiata group Singing Stars NZ and opportunities for your child to learn keyboard, guitar, drums and have singing lessons if they are interested. The lessons are held from weeks 2-9 each term and are 20mins long.  If your child is in Year 3 to 8 and you would like to register for private music lessons based at school to to  www.singingstarsnz.com or www.Facebook.com/rollestonsinging
