Last evening several Westburn students' skills in Chinese language and calligraphy were recognised at the annual CIUC prizegiving ceremony.

The following students received awards:

Amelia - First Prize (Primary) Non-Native Hard Pen

Eva - First Prize (Primary) Native Brush Pen, Second Prize (Primary) Native Hard Pen

Andy - Third Prize (Primary) Native Hard Pen

Jason - Second Prize (Primary) Native Hard Pen

Lev - Merit (Primary) Non-Native Hard Pen

Serena - Merit (Primary) Native Hard Pen

Fei Fei - Merit (Primary) Native Hard Pen

Maggie - Second Prize (Intermediate) Native Hard Pen

Amelia and Eva received medals for their first placing in the calligraphy competition. Their efforts, and those of winners from other schools, have been published in a 'Collection of Outstanding Works' for others to enjoy. A copy of this book is available for students to look at in our school library.

In addition to the awards to current Westburn students, several former students who've continued their studies at secondary school were also recognised.
