This is Yuna from Room 13's narrative writing about the rhino picture above - Lost in the Desert

It was 12:10 at the zoo and an eleven year old boy was helping his great uncle clean out rhino poop from the enclosure. But there was something in the cage that only the rhinos knew about. And that something was a hole. A hole big enough for a rhino to fit through. It led to a hot Africian desert. Peter, the boy, didn't see a rhino leap through the hole. But Peter heard the rhino thumping, so he followed the noise to the huge hole.

"Um, you should see this!" he shouted to his great uncle, which frightened the rhinos. Hi great uncle lumbered over. He and his great uncle exchanged a worried glance. "We really should rescue that rhino," confessed Peter. So they climbed in awkwardly with the rhinos close behind. Peter felt a mix of surprised and scared.

But suddenly, he had a bright idea. He motioned to be hoisted up onto the rhino's back. After he was hoisted up, he tried to to steer the rhino to the hole, thundering through the rippling wavy sand.

Then the desert floor broke! Instead of sand and clay, NOTHING! They fell through. What now?
