Exciting Start to Our STEM Journey!

Rachel Woods —

Our exciting new STEM initiative is now underway, and students are eagerly diving into engaging, hands-on learning experiences!

With weekly lessons in Year 5 and 6 classes, students are exploring key digital skills and foundational STEM concepts.

Over the past three weeks, students have:

  • Learned how to use Keynote on the iPads to create and present their ideas.

  • Explored Keynote Animation to bring their ideas to life.

  • Developed skills in using Google Sheets to represent data.

  • Discovered the binary alphabet and created binary keyrings with their initials.

  • Practiced using Apple Airdrop to efficiently share files.

  • Learned how to generate and share their work as QR codes for easy access.

As students continue to build upon these skills in the coming weeks, I look forward to seeing their knowledge, enthusiasm, and creativity flourish!
