Our cultural ambassadors represent many countries around the world. Their role involves using their first language to help students and their families and to greet visitors. They also work together to promote all of the different languages and cultures represented at our school. Currently we are working on two projects which represent the unique diversity in our school.

My name is Maryam. I’m 11 years old. I am from Egypt. I used to live in Saudi Arabia for 10 years. My favourite subject at school is Maths. My favourite sports are table tennis and soccer.

My name is Betty and I was born in Thailand and moved to New Zealand when I was four. My role is to help students that speak Thai with their studies and I promise I’ll work hard to help people that aren’t as skilled in English in their studies and not only get better at English but to have stronger relationships with other people too. At school, I’m usually fine with most subjects but my favourite subjects are Maths, Writing, and Art. I love these subjects because I can pour my heart into them and there’s always a challenge. My friends would describe me as confident, funny but sensible, responsible but loud and smart. I would describe myself as someone who talks too much but means well. Hopefully, you can get to know me and other people as well while you’re here!
