A few reminders about safety at our school crossing. This morning was another concerning morning!
This morning, children accompanied by parents were crossing Waimairi Road without using the school crossing. This is dangerous. Please use the crossing and be a good role model for our children.
A child exited a car while the car was not parked, but waiting for the crossing signs to be brought in. Please park the car before a child exits the car.
Cars were performing u-turns very close to the crossing. This is unsafe. Please do not do this.
Several cars were parked dangerously with the rear of the car sticking out. This is hazardous to passing cyclists and obscures the vision of other road users. Please take time to park safely.
The last thing we want to see is someone getting injured as a result of these kinds of behaviours.
