A huge thank you to all the students and parents who have served as road patrol members in 2019. We really appreciate all the hard work you do in keeping our community safe, particularly on cold and wet days or very hot and windy ones.

Well done to the 16 new student road patrol members who Constable Richard trained yesterday. He said you all worked hard and are ready to become the 'real deal'.  Constable Richard will come back again on Tuesday 4 February 2020 to give you all a little refresher course.

With only two school weeks to go, we also need to start thinking about road patrol parents for 2020.  If you are interested in volunteering a morning 8.25-9.00am) and/or afternoon (2.55-3.15pm) each week, we would love to hear from you.  Please email me  lynne.shears@westburn.school.nz . If you put your name forward, I will contact you in the week or two before school resumes in 2020, to establish your available days and to create the roster.  This message also applies to those who have been on the parent roster during Term 4.  Please let me know if you would like to continue in 2020 or if you wish to step down.
