Hard at work on Xanadu Jr
As the term goes on, Team 4 has been working hard to get ready for their musical, Xanadu Jr.
The play Xanadu Jr is set in the 80s, where there is an artist and muse of inspiration (Clio) in disguise, trying to get Zeus’s greatest gift: Xanadu. But Clio is betrayed by her sisters and is sentenced to eternity in the netherworld.
Every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday afternoon, Team 4 is working hard on the production, whether they're the cast rehearsing, painting sets, or making props and costumes. Everyone is busy doing something to get ready for the approaching deadline. Alexei had some interesting stories from making props: “We made a bow, an arrow, and a staff for Hermes out of cardboard and Medusa's hat out of a rubber snake.” Ameer had something for the audience to look forward to: “I like how ridiculous my outfit looks.” He is playing Hermes. Senna thinks that “the most amazing thing that we painted is the bookshelf.” Something to look out for!
“I like how people are getting into their characters and cooperating with each other,” says Alice, who is playing a Siren. Betty, playing Calliope, added, “I like whenever you get to act shocked or angry and I enjoy singing Evil Woman because this lets me experiment with character personalities.”
While everyone is working hard to get ready, you can book your tickets online using this link!
The tickets are $5.92. The production is either on Tuesday the 27th, Wednesday the 28th Thursday the 29th of September.
