Our School Values
At our school, values are the foundation that guide how we think, act, and grow, both as individuals and as a community.
Our values shape our decisions, relationships, and aspirations for the future, and are expressed daily through our philosophy, our relationships, and our curriculum.
Our three core values are:
Respect / Whakaute – linked to honesty and integrity
Citizenship / Whanonga Tika – reflecting community, cooperation, and belonging
Excellence / Hiranga – shown through perseverance, innovation, and striving to be our best
The E Tū Tangata ("ETT") kaupapa is woven through our school. Its focus on Others Matter, You Have Value, and We Succeed Together aligns directly with our values of Respect, Excellence, and Citizenship.
Staff are encouraged to participate in Fearless Friday's by wearing ETT merchandise, promoting taking a stand against Tall Poppy Syndrome. To learn more about this and ETT in general, visit their website here.
