As we noted in the last newsletter, the Ministry has asked schools to undertake two TODs this year to support the implementation of the refreshed curriculum.
The four schools in our cluster (Avonhead, Merrin, Russley & Westburn) have all agreed to hold their first day on the same date to allow sharing of programmes within our cluster.
Given the two-week period the Ministry has identified for the day to he held, all schools believe that Monday 24 April will be the least disruptive date for our communities.
We appreciate that there's never a perfect date for a TOD to be held and hope that six weeks' notice helps our families to arrange childcare for their children on this day.
