Specialist Music Programme Concerts

Victoria Panckhurst —

On 27 October in the Westburn School Hall, the musicians in SMP performed to an audience of their families and special guests for their final Appraisal Concert of the year. A few weeks earlier, we had a fun dress up ALCHEMY concert to celebrate our 2021 MAGIC, SCIENCE & MUSIC theme! Please enjoy our videos

The Final Appraisal Concert for 2021 - 27 October, 6.30pm.

All of the students were very well prepared, and played beautifully. After singing together as a choir the John William's song "Double Trouble", each child played a piece that they had prepared for the concert with their instrumental teacher and workshopped and rehearsed within our SMP classes. As they performed in the concert, the children were appraised by Dr. Patrick Shepherd and Mr. Chris Petch who were very impressed with all the performances. At the end of the evening there were speeches and special scholarships and awards presented to some of the students. We had a number of very special guests who always comment on how much they enjoy seeing the children improve over the year. They are also blown away by the talent and skill our young musicians have.
