PB4L- getting uniforms ready for school photos

Sam Pricolo —

On Wednesday the 31st of August we will be having our annual school photos taken.

Now is the time to ensure your child’s uniform is ready for the photos. For PB4L (Positive Behaviour for Learning) we have a school-wide focus - 'We wear the Westburn School uniform correctly'. This engages our students in wearing the uniform with pride and demonstrating our school value of Citizenship-Whanonga tika.

Currently, children should be wearing their winter uniform.

This includes;

Winter compulsory

  • Sky blue long-sleeved polo shirt (monogrammed or non-monogrammed)

  • Bottle green monogrammed polar fleece or polar fleece vest, bottle green monogrammed sweatshirt or cardigan

Winter options

  • Lined grey shorts and knee-length grey socks with one wide band of light blue between two dark green bands

OR

  • Bottle-green track pants

OR

  • Anderson tartan pinafore, skirt or culottes and navy tights or knee-length navy socks

Shoes

Must be black. Sneakers may be worn but they must be all black and their laces must NOT be bright colours. No jandals, crocs or slip-on shoes are permitted for safety reasons.

General uniform

  • Hair ties and headbands are to be bottle green or in Anderson tartan. Long hair must be tied back.

  • No jewellery is permitted except a wristwatch and plain stud earrings.

  • No makeup, including nail polish, is permitted.

It is particularly important that shoes and socks are correct (as listed above), hair is brushed and tied back and uniforms are clean and tidy.

Information on where to purchase the uniform can be found on the school website: https://westburn.school.nz/a/YLuToba

Thank you for your support with this.
