School Uniform

Vicki Smith —

The Westburn community has a tradition of strong support for the wearing of school uniform.

All Westburn Te Kura o Hereora, students wear a uniform that is practical, functional, safe and affordable. The wearing of it generates a sense of belonging and pride in the school. Our sunhats provide excellent protection from the sun and are a compulsory part of the school uniform in Terms 1 & 4 as we are a Sunsmart school.

From time to time items of uniform are found in the school grounds. Named property is able to be returned to its owner. Those uniform items that are unnamed are kept in the office for the reminder of the term. At the end of each term, any unclaimed unnamed items are gathered and washed. They are then offered for resale in the uniform shop from the next term.
