Some current Westburn families will know Millie, who taught at Westburn in 2012 and 2013. Millie died last week after a long battle with kidney cancer.

Millie loved teaching and was fully involved in school life during her time at Westburn. She coached hockey and Jump Jam and really enjoyed supporting her students by going to watch their weekend sporting events. Throughout her illness, Millie coached gymnastics, continued to work full-time at South New Brighton School, and worked her way through an impressive ‘bucket list’, which included visiting Disneyland, completing the Coast to Coast, seeing Ed Sheeran and Pink in concert, and taking a helicopter ride with Richie McCaw. We extend our deepest condolences to Millie’s family and feel privileged that Millie started the career she loved here at Westburn.
