Bringing balls and toys to school

Susan Jennison —

TOYS

Junior children sometimes want to bring toys/trading cards to school to play with and share with their friends. This is problematic as toys are often lost or broken. For this reason, we don't allow children to bring their own toys to school unless they're bringing them to share for news in class and they're safely stored with the child's teacher.

BALLS

Although we provide sports equipment for playtime and lunchtime, some children choose to bring their own balls to school. We're happy for this to continue, under the following conditions:

  • The ball must be clearly named (child's name and room number);
  • It is brought to school at the owner's risk. If the ball is lost or damaged, the school will not provide a replacement; and
  • If the ball's presence is causing arguments or issues, a staff member will contact you and ask for it to remain at home.
