Westburn School - a great place to be.
I have had a wonderful time as acting principal at Westburn School. I have really enjoyed getting to know Westburn staff, students and parents.
Children have been asking me when Susan is coming back, so I know she will be warmly welcomed on her return.
This week we acknowledged all the work our support staff do for us. Support staff include teacher aides, bi-lingual support workers, caretaker, librarian, and office staff. The support these people provide for our teachers and children make such a difference in so many ways.
This week also, Whaea Jo prepared a delicious lunch for staff as a wellbeing gesture. We appreciated her thoughtfulness and enjoyed sharing her lovely food.
Our staff has prepared a care parcel for our colleagues at Russley School as they work through the aftermath of the devastating fire. The beautiful bouquet of cupcakes (pictured) was made by one of our parents.
I trust you all enjoy the holiday break with your children. They are such great group of children - polite, interested and enthusiastic. You all do a great job sending them to school with such positive attittudes!
I am very pleased to return to Westburn next term in a part time capacity. I am looking forward to working with Susan and the leadership team to support children with specific needs in the SENCO role.
Regards
Diana
