Parent Corner Connecting Home and School

Moving to a new country and navigating a different education system can feel uncertain and isolating.
Parent Corner is a relaxed, welcoming space where parents can better understand the school system, learn how to communicate with teachers, and support one another.

The first session will introduce key school communication platforms (such as Hero and Seesaw) and how home–school communication works.

This programme is a partnership between Westburn School and ACTT (Asian Community Transformation Trust). Since 2022, ACTT has been walking alongside Asian migrant families in Christchurch, with a heart to see families feel seen, understood, and confident in supporting their children.
