  • SEEN: The Film – A new Parenting Documentary - This film is about the lives of four parents with 6 experts (one being New Zealander Nathan Wallis) providing insights into children’s needs and the science of understanding them. It not only explores the transformative power of personal healing for parents but also delves into the scientifically supported effects of such healing on parenting and its impact on child brain development. The film is being screened throughout Australia and in Auckland, Dunedin and Christchurch. In Christchurch, the Neighbourhood Trust is screening the film on Thursday 27th March at 7pm at the McFaddens Centre, 64 McFaddens Road, St Albans. To watch the trailer please go to https://seenthefilm.com/

Tickets can be purchased through Eventbrite and are approx $19.

  • Share your views on access to alcohol - The Christchurch City Council would like to hear what you think about options that they could include in a Local Alcohol Policy (LAP) to address alcohol-related harm in the community.

They are in the early stages of developing a LAP, which can set out how alcohol should be sold and supplied in Christchurch and Banks Peninsula, and include policies to restrict the number, location, and opening hours of licensed premises, such as bars, cafés and restaurants, supermarkets and bottle stores. They are seeking feedback on range of topics.

You can find out more about this project and give feedback here until 9 March 2025.

  • AA Insurance Big Little Sponsorship - The Big Little Sponsorship is back and bigger than ever, so spread the word and nominate your school for the chance to win one of four $10,000 sports grants. You can spend it on whatever you need, like new equipment, sports uniforms or coaching sessions. Anything to help your little champions play a little freer.

Nominate here. Entries close 11.59pm Sunday 16 March 2025
