The Sports Academy participated in a 2 day course last term as part of the 'You make the call' module of learning.

Rob (Nobby) Maitland was observing the referees working on their skills in the "you make the call" referee module this year. 

26 students from across the coast learning hugely important life skills and giving their time back to the code. This included gaining NCEA credits and NZRU certification for their hard work. 

The course took place over two days and was held on site at Westland High School, it includes 100 hours of community service which 18 of our Academy students have volunteered for this year already.
