The Ministry of Education are undertaking changes within NCEA.

Is your rangatahi studying towards NCEA? Here are 7 things you need to know about the NCEA changes that are already in place and the changes that are coming up.

• NCEA qualifications are now free
• Course Endorsements with Achieved are now available
• Re-submissions are only available to move from Not Achieved to Achieved
• Special Assessment Conditions (SAC) offers support to your child if they need additional help
• In 2023, schools will have a new subject: Te Ao Haka
• In 2023, all schools will have new standards to assess Literacy and Numeracy | Te Reo Matatini me Te Pāngarau
• In 2024, all schools will have New NCEA Level 1 standards
