After a long 2.5 year wait we are very excited to welcome Julia and Marlene to our school.

Both students come to us from Germany, Julia from Pirna and Marlene from Lorrach. Julia and Marlene secured places in the governments cohort 4 of 1000 international secondary school students who gained entry to New Zealand prior to our borders being fully open to international visitors. 

The students at Westland High School have been very welcoming, and I would like to take the time to thank Saskia Kortlever and Georgia Ritchie for being helpful and kind buddies. Both Marlene and Julia will be with us until April 2023 and we look forward to seeing what adventures they get up to in Westland.
