Matariki preparations

Westland High School —

Our students are looking for any donations of wool, craft materials, material scraps etc...

Do you have scraps of wool left over after your knitted or crochet projects, or a basket full of half used balls of wool? Be it fabric scraps or wool scraps, our class is keen to use up little leftover bits of craft materials that may have otherwise been destined for the bin.

J te Reo is making crafts for the Matariki festival and desperately needs scraps of wool, lace, or ribbons. any size and lengths.

If you're decluttering for the winter and would like to donate any wool and fabric bits and bobs to us, we would be grateful.

Using yarn you have on hand will always be more environmentally friendly and diverting scraps from landfill to make something useful, is a very tangible way to reduce our consumption and carbon footprint.
