Dear Students, Parents/Whanau and community members,

Today, Friday, the 4th of November, I advised the Westland High School Board of Trustees of my resignation as Principal of Westland High School. Therefore, I shall finish at the end of term 1, 2023.

I have been fortunate to have been offered the position of Principal at Hornby High School, Christchurch.

The past five years have flown by, and many positive changes have been implemented at Westland High School. Westland and Hokitika are fantastic communities and have got behind the rejuvenation of the school, hundreds of volunteer hours put in and great teachers who have worked together to benefit our students. I am proud to have been part of this exciting journey over the last five years and thankful for the support given. However, there is more to do and achieve at Westland High; now is the time to hand over the mantle to another Principal as the school continues to grow and develop.

Over the next few months, the Board will embark on a recruitment process, and I wish them well during this process.
