Ms Krakosky exhibits her work

Westland High School —

Our Hard materials technology teacher, Ms Krakosky is currently exhibiting her work in Greymouth. It's stunning so don't miss it.

If you haven't had a chance to see the Tai Poutini Polytechnic art exhibition at the Westland Recreation Centre in Greymouth, then don't miss out. Titled 'Jade Exhibition', this exhibition features a number of artists from the Coast and our very own Ms Krakosky is one them.

Her work is delicate, beautiful and inspiring. We are very lucky to have such talented and esteemed members of our staff.

Ms Krakosky's exhibition profile reads;

'As a member of Te Atiawa, legend has it that my people are descended from the sky. I try to remember this in my work - to craft for great worth, make it well, see unlimited potential, make good choices, challenge myself and love what I do.

I often take a cue from the feminine and delicate things in nature. I enjoy working with the strength of pounamu and the feel of it between my fingers as I work it.

Good design is something I'm inspired by and I believe this starts with simple forms. I also enjoy working in the suggestion of movement in my designs.'

You can see the exhibition from the 15th to the 29th November.

Monday to Friday 6am - 9pm, saturday to Sunday 7am - 7pm.
