Update from the Arts department

Westland High School —

The Arts department have been exceptionally busy lately with an Arts Evening, Lion King Jr rehearsals and ShowQuest.

On Wednesday the 29th of July the Arts department came together and offered an evening of song, dance, art and drama. There were performances from the Westland High School choir, senior music students, the middle and senior Dance classes combined, the ShowQuest Dance crew and a sneak peek of the Lion King production. The arts students of Westland High School also had their work on display for the public to view. The crowd enjoyed the evening and the students look forward to more public performances. Thank you to those that were able to make it to the performances.

The long awaited Westland High School Production of Lion King Jnr will be staged on the 20th to the 22nd of August at the Hokitika Regent. You can get your tickets from the Regent theatre, don't miss out it's going to be great!
