Studio 7

Studio Seven —

Studio 7 is a hive of activity with speeches, Keeping Ourselves Safe and art being our main focus.

Speeches

We are impressed with the effort and attitude that the children have put into their speeches. The broad range of topics has been fascinating and a great reflection of their passions.

Art - 'We Imagine, We Innovate, We Explore'

Students are in the middle of researching and developing their ideas. They have been learning about a range of different artists and styles and will soon be starting to produce their own work for the Art Festival.

Sport

Many of our students have been involved in several different Interschool sports teams recently. Our skiers have been carving it up at Snow Planet. The Rugby and Rippa teams have been training hard and learning a lot. Soccer training has just started in preparation for the Interschool tournament in a couple of weeks.

Remember to get your entries in for the Kids Marathon!

Keeping Ourselves Safe

This week we have started the Police Education Programme, Keeping Ourselves Safe. This programme consists of a range of child protection resources to help children and young people learn and apply a range of safety skills that they can use when interacting with others. Please ensure your child is sharing the activities we are completing at school and, at times, there is a homework task to complement the classroom activity from that day.

BYOD & Netsafe

On Wednesday 24th August, we will be holding two parent information presentations in the Hall.

  • 6:30pm - BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) Community Consultation.
We are exploring the implementation of a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) programme for Year 5 and 6 learners. This would be a completely optional. Please check out this article for more information.
  • 7:00pm - Lee Chisholm from Netsafe will be holding an informative session on online safety. Please check out this article for more information.

We highly recommend attending both of these sessions as we support our children in the ever increasing digital world.

Regards,

Marcela, Terry & Sophie
